It would have been interesting to photography how rain actually hit these leaves that are waterproofed for water conserving purpose. Rain dancing, jumping up and down on the waxed leaves. Something to look forward next time it rains. Advertisements
I’ve passed by this shrub so many times without noticing. But this past Saturday, in a low-light rainy Saturday afternoon, the shrub was emitting fiery glow with red, orange, burgundy, auburn, maroon and all other shades of red. Totally deserve the dramatic cultivar name.

Not something you would expect from the title. But since it is winter and all, it seems appropriate. By the way, I did not know this plant is called snowflakes. We rarely get snowfall in San Francisco, so this is as close as we get to snowflakes.
